UPS celebrated the Flag Day on November 3rd 2020. It marks the anniversary of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan becoming the president in 2004. This year’s celebration was hosted in socially distanced settings as a precautionary measure against the spread of Covid-19. The school celebrated the event virtually as well.
The school followed the protocol of hoisting the flag at 11am; teachers and students sang the UAE national anthem and delivered speeches in Arabic and English highlighting the significance of the nation’s Flag Day.
The Flag Day is an important national occasion which is a symbol of pride, loyalty, patriotism and unity. As we celebrate Flag Day, we cordially reaffirm our loyalty to the UAE flag and nation where everyone lives a decent life and enjoys security. Everyone happily repeated the slogan ‘Raise it High … Raise it Proud’.
