On November 24, 2018 UPS students participated in the 5th Madar international football tournament at Al Ain Club. Tournaments are important in the field of sports. They are essential and important part of physical education curriculum. Tournaments main objective is fostering physical education and teaching how to implement it in social, professional, physical and recreational activities.
By participating in tournaments, sportspersons do not develop only technical skills of the sports but also the tactical skills. Tournaments are helpful in publicizing sports and create interest. Sports tournaments provide ample recreation to the spectators. Social traits such as tolerance, sympathy, cooperation, group cohesion, are developed among participants through sports tournaments. Likewise, sports tournaments are helpful in developing national integration as well as international unity and brotherhood.
