UPS Celebrates Flag Day 2018

On Thursday November1st 2018 UPS Celebrated Flag Day. UAE flag was hoisted at 11 O’clock before noon. All teachers, staff and students were full of enthusiasm and keen on participating in this patriotic occasion to express their sincere love to their dear country.  The UAE Flag Day is a national occasion as UAE flag is a symbol of unity, pride, and loyalty. This event marks the anniversary of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan becoming the president in 2004.  Accordingly this year will mark the president’s 14th anniversary. The UAE flag has a deeper meaning for Emiratis since the Pan-Arab coloured banner was adopted on December 2, 1971, the day that saw the unity of all the seven emirates. The four-coloured flag represents justice, peace, tolerance, power and moderation.
