UPS Celebrates the New Hijri Year 1440

UPS celebrated the Hijri New Year on September11th 2018 during the morning assembly as this date was officially declared the first day (1st Muharram) of the year 1440 Hijri .  It is referred to as the Hijri Calendar because it began with the Hijra, i.e. the Prophet Muhammad’s migration from Mecca to Medina, It is also known as Islamic New Year or Arabic New Year. The celebration included many activities that were performed by little kids. Likewise, one of the parents gave a short speech  on this holy occasion.
